    Plusnet

I am having a problem uploading the shop since moving to Plusnet. You have a different ftp signon to the ftp signon for the HTML part of things. Does anyone else use this company? If so can they help me determine what parameters I need to enter.
    Thanks in advance

when you upload scripts you need to log onto the server cgi.plus.net. To upload html you log onto ftp.plus.net. So how do I us the upload in Catalog to upload the shop. I was hoping there was a plusnet user available to answer my question.

My hunch is that plusnet does not support Actinic, so I did a forum search using plusnet as the search term and came across

        http://community.actinic.com/showthr...hlight=plusnet

        and

thanks for that. That was the feeling I was getting the more I looked into it. I think I may have to move elsewhere

I think you will also find that force9/ plusnet upgraded their cgi servers fairly recently so address may be ccgi.force9.net not cgi.force9.net (or plusnet equivelent). Check the faq's on thier site for more info.

It might be worth a bit more investigation into the upgrade, as force9/ plusnet were qouting all sorts of cgi improvements since the platform upgrade.

              Hi there,

To my knowledge there have always been problems with Force 9 (Plusnet), it used to be that you would have to upload the entire site to the space on the cgi server.
This used to be to get round the problems with the Java applets that Actinic used to use for taking CC payments.
There used to be a similar load bearing arrangement at Demon (may still be), however Demon would use a symbolic link for the cgi setting that would take the program to the appropriate space on the cgi server.
There was no such arrangement at Force 9, so the whole site needed to be loaded to the cgi server.

Having said this, I have been out of touch with Force 9/Plusnet dealings for a while.
Hmm! In which case all of this has been little use I suppose. Sorry. :-)

              "Right then, lets go!
