    A General Script Error Occurred

    Hi there

    I uploaded my site and when I try to add to the cart I get this error:

    A General Script Error Occurred

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Error: sort trapped by operation mask at (eval 21) line 172.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner
    I have tried copy and pasting the .pl and .pm files from the original directory, but that made no difference... is there any other reason why I could be getting this error?

    Hi there

    For this error i would suggest the following:

    On you local machine, go into C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1 or what you site is called

    1) Delete all the .cat .fil .pl and .pm

    2) Copy the .pl and .pm files from original to site directory

    Then just do a full web refresh.

    If it still does not work, then repeat step 1 and 2, but additionally, manually ftp to your site, delete .pl and .pm in your cgi-bin folder, and again, delete the .cat and .fil in your /acatalog/ folder, then do a web refresh

    This should fix the issue for you

        Hi

        I'm having the same trouble after trying to instal an upgrade I've done the first part of what you said but to no avail.

        Going to try the 2nd part but at the risk of sounding a complete novice how exactly do i 'manually ftp to your site'? Wheres the cgi-bin and acatalog folders?

          You need to use an ftp software like cuteftp or wsftp and connect to your site using the ftp details provided to you by your hosting company. If are running 7.0.2, then simply go to "Help | Troubleshooting". Click on the button that says "Web Site purge and Refresh". Make sure the two box are checked and then click on a button "Delete and Refresh".

          Now this will copy the .pl and .pm files, as well as deleting the .cat and .fil files.
