Zeus Server Setup

Struggling to set up a testing site on a Zeus server.

I think it is the "Path from CGI-BIN to Acatalog" causing the test to fail. Every variation on a theme with the path and directories fails. The cgi-bin gets populated with the test scripts but always fails pointing to the above path. Alas the owner of the server (a friend on a favour) has not been able to provide a solution either - his ideas have been tried already.

Just wondered is anyone else has an Actinic site on a Zeus server to see if we are missing something more obvious.

I know nothing about Zeus but my fallback is to always double period the reference if all else fails ie "../blah blah". This always seems to work when all else fails, bit like localhost does. Apart from that, nothing usefult to add i'm afraid.

Aye - I do that as default but it was still not happy.

What version of Zeus and what version of perl is it running. There were some issues in the early days of 6 with Zeus servers, this is the first one in a long time.

The main issue was not having a public_html folder ... they had everything set at the server root which Actinic rightly did not like.

Could one of the mods kindly move this to the upload board now it has been re-instated?

Your post said something like I'm interested in Zeus, tell me all about it - a typical post of a spammer.

If it had said something like I've got an actinic store (link) and we are thinking of getting a Zeus server, do you have any advice on things we should be considering - you might have got a better response

If you want general info on Zeus, then you should contact a supplier of said services. All said and done this is a forum for Actinic software.

As i said before actually i dont know about the zeus server, actually i apologize of asking about zeus here in this forum, JUst curious to learn about things , im still a learner, Its ok Pinbrook..
