Email settings help

When i run the Configure Website Details wizard i get to the last page were i have to enter email settings. It gives me an error 'An error occurred while sending a HTTP request to the webserver. Perhaps your network is down or the webserver is down'.
We use Exchange for email and ive tried entering the server name and IP address of the Exchange server, which also hosts our website using IIS 6.

Ive tried using the Advanced Network Setup page and i did receive a test email, however when i use i try placing an order i get to the Thank You page and an error at the top of the page says 'Mail send failure - message not sent'.

Can anyone help with this please?

Export your network settings, remove your usernames and passwords and post the settings here. Also tell us your host and the hosting package you are on with them, inlcuding if it is linux or windows. Someone may then be able to help.
