    Stand Alone

Hi i keep getting the following errors when trying to test on a stand alone setup

200 Type ASCII ( No subclass parameters defined, Non-Print
    used as default)

    200 Port command Ok

    501 permission denied

I had this problem before when using V5 a couple of years ago and have forgotten
what the solution is, all my files in cgi-bin are set correctly (those which should be writable) and cgi ID is unigue to server, please help as i am on a
dead line and feel stupid for forgetting the solution as i think its fairly easy.
    Thanks J

If you don't get a reply it normally means that no-one knows the answer.....being sarcastic isn't going to help your position in these forums when you ask again.

          Hi John

What happens when you test the network settings? The last time I encountered an error like this, the cgi-bin had the wrong permissions and ownership and the server didn't support CHMOD commands. Renaming the old cgi-bin and creating a new one fixed the error.

            Thanks

The cgi-bin has the right permissions and ownership i have a feeling the problem is with the server and it looks like everything will be alright.
            Thanks for your help Ben.
