    Access to server help

    Hi All,

I have managed to upload my site for the first time; YAY!.

I have issue that i was hopfully trying to get resolved.

I have changed hosting to actinic and as mentioned got my site up and running but I used my old hosting company to store all my eBay html listings and pictures, i simply used cuteftp to upload to my domain and used:

    <img src="http://www.fantronix.com/ebay_templates/str1_5/top_graphic.jpg" width="853" height="122">

to point to the relavent pictures.

However, i have accessed my site with the new actinic FTP details in cuteftp but access is denied to upload the whole 'ebay_templates' folde so the eBay pictures work!!

Does anyone have any idea how i can resolve this?

I really need to upload to www.fantronix.com/ebay_templates as I will have to change every ebay picture on every listing and there are over 1000!!!!

help, help help! all my eBay listings are currently without pictures!!!

    info if needed:

    site: www.fantronix.com
    eBay shop: fantronix-uk
    typical eBay listing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILENT-FAN-SPE...742.m153.l1262

    Cheers,

    Graham

Can you at least create the listing folder manually using CuteFTP?

      Unfortunatley not:

It wount let me add a new folder to the directory:

      Request denied.
Verify that the file or folder exists and that you have the necessary permissions on the server to perform the requested operation

Are you saying you are using "Actinic" hosting to host you actinic site, in which case you will need to contact them directly. You are probably restricted in what they will allow you to do.

          Thanks Darren,

          Will contact them tomorrow.

Do you know if it is possible to have a extra 'ebay_templates' folder added to directory? or is the main folder a no go area.

          Cheers,

          Graham

I could not tell you what they allow with their hosting plans, i know that they do not suit all people as certain things are not available but they are a popular choice for start ups.
