    Global price changes

I am building a shop for a rose grower. They have many different types of rose e.g. bush roses, climbing roses, English roses etc. and with each type are up to 100 varieties.

So, taking bush roses as an example, they are supplied at two prices depending on the season. Bare rooted in winter @ £4.40 and potted in summer @ £5.95. I've found that I can offer both options with Component/Attribute/Choice which is great.

However, when prices change, is there a way of making one price change which will cascade down through every product in the bush rose category, or does every single variety have to have it's price changed individually?

    two options here............

one is to create an import file of the new prices the other is to edit the access database.

Thanks for that Jo. I just needed confirmation that Catalog doesn't have the ability to do this from within the program itself.

One way to do this simply would be to export the products. Load the csv file into Excel and apply your formula to the appropriate columns. Then save the changed data to csv and re-import into Actinic.

You can't do it from within Actinic.

            Hi Chris

Thanks for that advice. This does seem to be a good way of achieving the objective and as I have Excel it's a good solution for me.
