    Presumably we're talking SSL here.

      Apologies

Yes I think it is the SSL certificate

Tried to log on to the cgi-bin path but comes up with not having permission to change anything. Spoke to my provider and they said it can't be anything like that as they have not altered anything on the server

        im confused here

have you run a network test?

Uploading should have no effect on expired ssl cert's therefore whats the problem with the cgi-bin. Have you logged on using an ftp program and check the permissions.

I have tried doing a network test and it came up with

date on certificate out of date

                then came up with this

The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI script extension, the path to CGI-BIN, and the CGI-BIN URL. This error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts.

                    Craig,

people here are asking you for the site URL so we can take a look and try to figure out what's wrong.

No one is going to play a massive guessing game to help you. Post the URL if you want any further help.

                    Mike

The xmas message will be in a fragment of its own or in an existing fragment in the text area, if it is in the text area you need to delete it and the !!<< >>!! as im guessing it has styling

But you need to upload to do this

                          So, back to the beginning

What happens when you click upload website?

I click on the upload button

and it goes through the check until it arrives at the merging incremental files and it then says the following

There is a problem with the SSL certificate:- The host name in the certificate is invalid or does not match

interesting as your site is not using ssl in checkout, please can you go to business settings, and make sure you dont have ssl ticked under payment and security.

why do you think you have ssl?
