    Cart

I've just uploaded my site to a remote server and it functions correctly except.......

    ......the Cart contents.

I've been adding products and removing them and going to the checkout, everything seemed to be fine.

Now everytime I enter the site and view the cart there is always a product in there and the price is different from that on the sidebar.

Please could someone tell me what I have done wrong?

    Many Thanks

    Hi there,

    What is your website URL?

This could be due to a caching issue, i.e. every time a customer goes to your site a temporary file is stored within the customers pc, so therefore this could be the case.

You can clear out your cookies by going into your web browser Tools | Internet options | General tab and deleting 'cookies' or temporary files.
    Thank You

      Dear Menar,

      Many Thanks

I've altered my cookie settings and all seems ok.

If this was the case, what's to stop customers having the same problem and losing their patience with the site?

The URL is www.evs-ltd.co.uk (please excuse the basicality of it)

      Thanks again

Do I have to delete my cookies and temporary internet files before I log on each time? or is there another way to do it in Actinic?

          Hi there,

A solution might be to open Actinic go to Help | Troubleshooting | and 'purge session' files, which will remove all session files that are stored in the server.

Which is an association with the cookie files stored on the customer pc. Therefore, if a customer adds item 'a' to the basket, but does not make the purchase this creates a session file on the server, so the purging process will remove all sessions created on the server.

Furthermore, the customers entering the website will act as new customers.

          Hope this helps
          Thank You
