no one else having problems then, I just rang 4sure and they gave me a lot of waffle.
Not impressed as we have two sites hosted with them and both down.
I think it might be best to move one site to a different company.
I did ask them about moving my site to different servers of theirs so if one goes down I don't loose both sites but they didn't seem to sure.
I think you'll find that recent (last 12 months) history has meant that a LOT of people have left 4sure and so there are a lot fewer here, who host with them, than used to be!
(plus, you only gave anyone 30 minutes to reply before following up!)
We're with 4-sure/nuco/ host-it and we got an email at the start of the week saying to expect downtime today:

there are 2 things to consider here, if your sites were on 2 different servers (they might be already) both sites could still fail at the same time if the problem was a network/data centre one rather than a server one.
to be totally safe make sure you host the 2nd site in a different geographic location.
stay clear of 4surehosting / host-it
very poor customer service, after several years we had to leave them.
Plus they would not refund us for the remainder of our 1 year hosting deal when we had to move due to server issue. Shame, once a good company, now you cant even get a phone call out of them.
Sorry you've had problems Wesley, but I continue to recommend them. We've had problems with our dedicated server running out of space (our fault) and they've upgraded the drive at no charge at a time agreed by us, with full communication. Every time I've contacted support they've been helpful and professional with a reply within 20 minutes even at weekends or evenings.
Perhaps shared hosting is different- I don't know if you have a dedicated server or not? Either way I hope you resolve your problems swiftly and can get back to running your business.
