ok i got halfway through an upload of the site for actinic to show me this message:

    227 entering passive mode (91,103,220,67,134,214)
    200 Type set to I

I do have passive mode ticked on network settings.

    any idea what this means?

I know the IP address of our site is 91.103.220.67

Is this an issue with FTP when connecting to the server?
Weird as a network settings test works ok.

Increase the ftp timeouts and see if that does anything.

Is this a setting within Actinic? or something the host needs to do?

Got my host to increase the ftp timeout to:

            TimeoutNoTransfer 900
            TimeoutStalled 600
            TimeoutIdle 1200

Also increased the timeout in Networking Settings on Actinic.

I saw this in the AKB:

Actinic uses multiple concurrent FTP connections to upload the web site.

Some Web Hosts limit the number of allowed connections within a given period.

Actinic recommends that the server allow 5 minutes for 10 connections in 60 seconds.

Lower values may be acceptable but a setting of 5 minutes for 5 connections in 90 seconds has been known to cause FTP Timeout errors.

You will need to contact your ISP to change these settings.
            http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=45210

Is that correct that you need to contact your ISP to get these changes made?? Or should it be the web host company?

I don't think what you are reading applies to V7, this area has been considerably overhauled in v9 and i think it's referring to that. I'm referring to the settings in actinic that you can adjust.

Here are the settings I currently have for ftp timeout on actinic.

What do you suggest I change these too please?
