    Connection via Microsoft ISA Server

We are having a problem establishing a fully functioning connection via our LAN through a Microsoft ISA server, HTTP and FTP access is enabled are there are any other critical Protocols that need setting.

When we test the network settings from the Advanced Network Setup page we receive the following error messages:

    1) Actinic Ecommerce received a bad method error from the web server. The server is not properly configured to allow Actinic Ecommerce to run CGI scripts from the cgi-bin. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.

    2) The web server returned error code 405 - Server does not support the requested method. Your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts. Contact your ISP or system administrator and have them reconfigure the server.

We are able to upload the shop to our website www.horseworld.org.uk hosted by Tollon.

The shop was initially developed on a stand alone PC by our Webmaster and everything worked fine, having transferred to our corporate network we are now experiencing problems.

As the perl environment is demonstrably set up correctly on the shop server (it is working fine from the PC) - what is causing this error?

Thanks, already tried that with out success.

From another thread tried this which seems to work, although waiting to hear from our IT Guy as to weather this compromises security.

      Hi everybody,

I seem to have solved the problem and all is now working fine.
Using ISA Management go to Access Policy and Protocol Rules, then edit the Internet Access Rule as follows.

      General - enable
      Action - allow
      Protocol - all IP traffic
Schedule - always(unless you want this restricted by time)
Applies to if you select "any request" it will apply to all users, but to restrict this policy to the PC running Actinic select "Users & Groups" and then add the appropriate user or computer.

Is this a problem which will be answered in your latest patch ?, understand this patch is due any time, any ideas when ?.

One of the bugs due to be fixed in the next maintenance release is the problem with FTP authorisation for a proxy server. No release date yet, but it is expected in the next few weeks.
