fifthco isnt a commonly used host, if i were you i'd use the network wizard and get some form of settings going, then test.

if you then have issues , post your settings for comment.

This one is wrong. Leave it blank.

        FTPPATHFROMCGITOCATALOG /cgi-bin/acatalog/

What response do you get to the network test?

        Mike

        PS. re: SMTP.

'Localhost' means you're using your servers local smtp server. This is unlikely to be the one with the btclick username. Try with SMTP username and password cleared and authorisation turned off.

          Hi,
It's says 'Actinic has encountered a problem, and has closed. You will need to restart it' etc etc etc....

Oops. Not a typical network test result. Which version of Actinic are you using?

I don't remember seeing this problem before with Actinic.

                Things to check are:

                1. That you're using the latest version of V9 (9.0.5).
                2. Try compacting the database.
                3. Are you able to export a snapshot OK?

Also your website seems to be live but with permission errors. Have you set the permissions of the cgi-bin and acatalog folders to 755?

                Mike

Thanks for your help Mike. No matter what I do I can't get it to work so I've decided to use Pinbrook.

                  All the best

                  John

Good choice. Jo knows Actinic better than most of us here and will sort you out nice and quickly.
