Have a look in the correct forum for this type of issue and provide details as per the sticky in there.

          Who is your host? Namsco
Is it unix or windows hosting? Unix
Is the permission on the cgi-bin set to 755? Yes
Is the permission on the acatalog folder set to 777? Yes
Is this your first upload? Has it worked in the past? not fisrt Yes
Have you compacted the database in the housekeeping menu? Yes
Have you changed the cgi number in network setup and tried to reupload? If you cjhange it it starts to upload but then Actinic does its usual crashing game so haven't got to the end yet!!!
Have you run the network wizard? what was the result? all OK

If you go into the help | troubleshooting menu and do the web site purge and refresh, does that manage to complete?

Those steps usually cure 99% of problems, so it certainly does look like a strange one, if you have a snapshot previous to the change, might be worth trying that to see if something in the database has corrupted, if not, i'm afraid you're going to need to go to support.

Tried and old snapshot, tried an old snap shot on a new website, I have business plus, all the settings are the same as other sites on the same server.

Support are not helping me which is why i am here.

I have sent an email but as you know this at best will not be looked at until next week leaving me with no shop over the weekend, not a situation i am happy about.

Yes, as i said earlier it at least starts the upload but until I can get Actinic to go through without crashing I do not know if this works.

                        **clutching at straws**

Can you try it on a different system or switch off firewalls and anti virus momentarily to see if that is the issue?

when you changed the script id did you restart actinic before attempting an upload (always change script id, then close actinic with compact then open actinic and try an upload), also along with Lee here, turn off you AV and firewall as a test

When is the last time you did a FULL website upload? (to a new server or full refresh)

Now that you've changed the cgi script ID, are you getting an upload dialogue box?

How long are you waiting before deciding that Actinic is doing nothing?
