    Uploading - upgrading from 7 to 10

    Hi everyone

I'm really struggling with the upgrade from Ver 7 to 10.... my settings no longer work. Here they are:

    HTTPPROXYMODE 0
    HTTPPROXYADDRESS
    HTTPPROXYPORT 80
    HTTPPROXYUSER
    HTTPPROXYPASSWORD
    FTPPROXYMODE 0
    FTPPROXYADDRESS
    FTPPROXYPORT 21
    FTPPROXYUSER
    FTPPROXYPASSWORD
    SCRIPTID 1
    SCRIPTEXT .pl
    SMTPHOST localhost
    WEBSITEURL http://www.demistifi.com/
    IGNOREPASSIVEERRORS true
    USERELATIVECGIURLS false
    PATHTOPERL /usr/bin/perl
    USEENHANCEFTP false
    FTPCLIENTTIMEOUT 5000
    FTPRETRYDELAY 3000
    FTPKEEPALIVEINTERVAL 30000
    FTPSILENT false
    FTPMAXRETRIES 3
    FTPCONNECTTIMEOUT 15000
    SMTPAUTHREQUIRED false
    SMTPUSERNAME
    SMTPPASSWORD
    COMPRESSIONPACKETSIZE 1024
    COMPRESSEDUPLOAD true
    CATALOGURL http://www.demistifi.com/public_html/acatalog/
    ONLINESTOREFOLDERNAME acatalog
    CGIBINURL http://www.demistifi.com/cgi-bin/
    PATHFROMCGITOCATALOG ../public_html/acatalog/
    CODEBASE http://demistifi.com/public_html/acatalog/
    FTPHOST ftp.gip.superb.net
    FTPUSERNAME **********
    FTPPASSWORD **********
    PATHTOCGIBIN /demistifi.com/cgi-bin/
    USEPASSIVEFTP false
    FTPPATHFROMCGITOCATALOG

And this is the error message:

Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server. The error could be caused by several things. Check:
    - the 'Path to the Perl shell'
    - the 'CGI script extension'
    - the 'Path to CGI-BIN'
    - the 'CGI-BIN URL.
    - the amount of web space left on your server
    - if your server is configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts
    - the permissions on the server:

On Linux/Unix based servers the permissions should be:
    cgi-bin (755) – drwxr-xr-x
Online Store Folder (777) – drwxrwxrwx

I'm on a Unix server and the permissions are set correctly

What's annoying is that I only upgraded because 7 is no longer supported.... I was completely happy with it - Version 10 has cost me money and is now wasting a lot of my time

    Any help appreciated

Are these the v7 settings or have you changed them since going to v10?
Have you tried exporting the network settings from v7 and then importing them into v10?
You may get some warnings but they should be accepted - and normally work.

If these are your v10 settings that have been changed in an effort to get them working then it would be useful if you could post your v7 settings as well.

Unfortunately I don't have access to the Network Export Settings anymore.... they were on my old XP machine that isn't working well.

Now I'm on a Windows 7 machine - which was why I had to upgrade to V 10 as Actinic couldn't guarantee that Ver 7 would work with Windows 7 and don't support it anymore

But I have the Ver 7 settings written down by hand and they are the same

A mystery to me why V 10 can't work with them

Do you have any old v7 snapshots?

You can open those with 7zip or similar and extract the database, then check in the database for the working settings in table Setup2.

Also - is eShopAfrica on the same hosting? If so then those settings would help.
