Can anyone recommend an Actinic Host?

    Hi

We are currently experiencing major problems with our host Entweb (They seem to have disappeared) Can anyone recommend a good stable host for our site. It is a large site
with many products so we need around 40meg - 60meg

We are desperate so any help will be greatly received!

    Thanks

EntWeb have gone totally now into liquidation.

Some new company has taken on the physical assets (hardware), but hosting accounts and customers is another thing....

Anyone who has (Nominet UK) domains with EntWeb or Tag RD2000 etc, needs to contact Nominet or another host for info on getting your domains moved.

http://www.nominet.org.uk/MakingChan...nAgentisp.html is the page with all the info in it.

          Hi JB

I have just set up my web site www.triedtestedtrusted.co.uk and decided to use Pinbrook, Jo has been great so far and it was really easy to get up and running. My site downloads quickly and Jo has been really helpful.

Thanks again Jo for all your help

              Gavin,

OneandOne have several different packages and a choice of Windows or Linux servers.

              Which are your customers using?

Oneandone.co.uk do have a range, the MS hosting doesn't support the perl needed to run the Actinic so i went for the 1&1 Porfessional Package priced at 16.99 per month, it inculdes SSL and loads of web space + loads of email address can be setup, one of the best hosting company i have found for the money

                  Inkjet,

Did you have any problems with getting the Customer and Confirmation emails out of 1&1?

Some people, depending on the package (Business / Professional), have reported that you can only use Authenticated SMTP and have had to use my Mail::Mailer patch.

no works like a dream and even emails me a confirmation email as well as the customer. I have set my mail (STMP) to read "auth.smtp.oneandone.co.uk" in Advanced Network Setup and works fine. This also works fine for the order manager we have setup in our pick and pack room and thanks to Jan at Mole-End it is all automated (or soon will be). There is one thing that you maybe able to help me with Norman (or anyone) is this one http://community.actinic.com/showthr...&threadid=5228

The post explains abit about it, but we are getting alot of people putting in wrong email addresses

                    cheers

That link is to the Developers forum. I don't go there as I don't see the point of closed groups.
