Upload has suddenly got very slow

We have a small dedicated server with Easynet, running Linux.

Nothing has changed at my end, AFAIK, but a couple of days ago, the refresh website function suddenly stopped taking about 5 minutes, and started taking 2 hours. Everything works ok, it is just incredibly slow sending the base files - 10 to 20 seconds per file.

I was wondering if I should ask the ISP to try restarting the server maybe.

Does anyone have any other thoughts?

Hi Hendrik,
Have you checked that "compressed upload" is still switched on?
Are you noticing any other FTP type issues? I.e. are you seeing a general slow down when uploading to the hosting area through an FTP client?

It may be connection issues, it may be host related. Most likely it is Actinic related however always best to check the obvious things first.

I have a vague recollection of someone having a similar issue that Actinic helped resolve by deleting some entries in one of the database tables, possible FileList, however I cannot be sure. Perhaps Actinic support would be best placed to answer that one.
