Network Setup Problem locating Perl dir

    Hi there,

I've just changed from one domain name to another, from www.energysavingideas.ie to www.cosyhomestore.ie, and my network setup is failing to find the Perl dir.

I've followed the suggestions in the Sticky:
    1. Who is your host? LetsHost
    2. Is it unix or windows hosting? Unix
    3. Is the permission on the cgi-bin set to 755? Y
    4. Is the permission on the acatalog folder set to 777? Y
    5. Is this your first upload? N Has it worked in the past? Y
    6. Have you compacted the database in the housekeeping menu? Y
    7. Have you changed the cgi number in network setup and tried to reupload? Y
    8. Have you run the network wizard? Y what was the result? See below.

I've had it working on www.energysavingideas.ie previously although I did have the same trouble and never understood why it finally started working when it did.

When I try Test the settings in Network Setup I get the following error: "Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server."

When I run the Network Setup wizard, it fails on trying to find the Perl dir with the following error: "An error occurred while sending a HTTP request to the server" The network connection to the server is working fine!

Attached is my exported network setup file.

    Any suggestions folks?

The first thing that comes to mind is that the path to perl is usually just /usr/bin/perl

      Hi,

just like before - the problem has resolved itself.

After 1 or 2 hours I was able to get through the Network Setup wizard and find the Perl directory. The website served up html pages but would not allow me to run any functionality, ie Add to Cart, Login, etc instead I would get an error msg in the browser saying the particular pl file could not find found.

The next day I find this has resolved itself aswell. I now have full functionality.

Does anyone know why this would happen?
