      Hi Duncan,
      thanks for the reply...,
Yes, i have changed hosts recently, infact i changed from actinic to xxxxx (competitor name removed - Admin) but i wasn't too impressed with xxxxx thats why i'm changing back to actinic.

i managed to "cure" the "incomprehesible script" problem by not checking the 2 boxes where the wizard asks if i would like an e-mail sending to myself and the customer.

now when i come to publish the site, nothing happens, it just sits there as if i haven't clicked publish to web..., i've switching off and on again, but nothing....,

      any thoughts???

Have you tried running a network test?

          Yeah,
done a network test, everything thing comes up as passed.

just tried it again. clicked on publish to web and it just sits there, no box comes up, nothing, switched off and back on again, tried again, nothing......, i don't really want to go back to xxxxx but its looking that way......

              Hi all,

              i tried again last night.
i get it to upload when i set the cgi-bin permission to 777 but when it gets to the end i get an error..
the error page is so big, i can't even copy and paste it......,
not looking good, might have to bail out here..

i can't even copy and paste it
Then copy / paste in some lines from the top and bottom. That's where the most useful info is likely to be.

                    Hi,
when i change the cgi-bin permission to 777, it starts to upload but i get this error at the end.

an error occured while sending the merge request.
                    possible causes:
corrupt scrips - please try website purge and refresh.

                          o.k,
                          thanks for your help..
i got it working in a fashion but when i click on the left navbar, i get an error :

                          Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-bin/ss000002.pl was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

i'll have another go and report back in the morning......, at least things are moving....

                              Duncan,

thanks for your time and help..., much appreciated.
i've just changed the script ID to 1, did a web refresh and it seems to be working O.K now..., i'll keep testing it.

                              thanks all.
