Hi,
I have had to move my site picklepotdesigns.co.uk (its on v9) to a new server. In doing so, some errors have occurred. It now won't download orders and also cannot get the smtp email settings to work. I have tried various settings but just get this error message:-
The 'SMTP server' address entered in the 'Web | Network Setup' is incorrect, or not a valid SMTP server.
Possible Solutions:
1) Try "localhost" as the "SMTP Server"
2) Check the "SMTP Server" host name, user name and password with your server host, then correct the details in 'Web | Network Setup'
3) Check your firewall settings
I can process an order through the site but it doesn't download orders so can't retrieve it..
Help! Details below:-
Who is your host? NIMBUS HOSTING
Is it unix or windows hosting? UNIX
Is the permission on the cgi-bin set to 755? YES
Is the permission on the acatalog folder set to 777? YES
Is this your first upload? Has it worked in the past? NOT ON THIS SERVER
Have you compacted the database in the housekeeping menu? NO
Have you changed the cgi number in network setup and tried to reupload? NO
Have you run the network wizard? what was the result? NO
