SMTP Server with Office 365 and site pointed with A record

I am about to set up hosting for a client who uses Office 365 for emails and whose domain will point to my hosting using A record.

Will localhost still work as SMTP server or is there an Office 365 email server that shoud be used?

Do I assume the mail sever for Office 365 is:
smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Authenticated?

Hi Jonathan, I expect you've resolved this by now. But if not, I think Support can help with those settings. I don't know what they are personally but I know we've been asked before.
