I have no idea why this is happening.

I have placed a test order (CT38HD10000068 - I presume my card will not have been debited) and saw the missing name and address fields in HSBC.

I'll have to ask the team about this as I know next to nothing about the HSBC interface.

Right - this is a limitation of the HSBC interface - but one that can be overcome.

You need to change your tax calculation method to 'advanced' and then set to 'Tax by Invoice Address'. This will produce two country drop-downs in the checkout, and will mean that a country code will be used for both the Invoice address and Delivery address. Therefore both addresses will appear in the HSBC interface.

Alternatively, you can prevent customers from entering an alternative delivery address in 'Design Text | Web Site (cont) | Invoice Address) and so customers are only ever asked to enter one address.

        Chris - GREAT.

        This works perfectly!!

I had to create a new a new 'Tax Rate for VAT' and then set the rate at 0.000, setting this as default (subsequently unaffecting my existing settings).

I need to tidy up the checkout phase a little, removing the ability to select country, setting UK as default and then all smiles here.

        Cheers Chris

Can anyone who has successfully HSBC into Actinic tell me the equivalents in terminology?

My client has given me the following:
          Client ID - UK[8 digits]GBP
Merchant Number - same as Client ID, without the letters
User ID - word chosen by client
          Password

          Actinic asks for the following:
          StorefrontID
          CPI Hash

It seems that the StorefrontID is the Client ID as anything else returns an error in Actinic, but I've tried all the others, and they produce an error "HSBC order hash generation" when connecting to HSBC's system. I also tried the 4-digit Client ID that shows when you're logged in to https://www.secure-epayments.hsbc.com with the same result.

            Hi Malcolm

The Storefront ID is the UK12345678GBP number, the haskey is a very random string of text, some 32 characters.

I had to call HSBC ePayments team, and they arranged for a fax confirmation to be sent out confirming my hashkey.

Thanks, Steve, I'll get my client to contact them.

HSBC could be a little more helpful with integration, couldn't they, like volunteering the CPI Hash and using the same terminology throughout... or am I looking for the ideal world?

                Hello

While testing the store, i received a number of communication errors within the HSBC site resulting in failed transactions.

I spoke to the ePayments team at HSBC and we think that this is an IE problem, due to a previous update that Microsoft made. There is another download from MS that I have tried that seems to have done the trick, but I have not tried exhasutively.

While from Microsoft, I do want to point out that this is for info only and that no warranites/liabilites implied either by me or the bank....

                http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Just an observation, I have auto update from MS (inform first) switched on my machine, and this download has never come down, I guess it is not currently deemed cruicial.

                Hope this info is useful

                Steve

Chris, do I untick the boxes under that section to disable the invoice address option?
