starlink blocking port 25

I cannot use outlook to send emails with my new starlink - how annoying, they block port 25 - any ideas please or that was a big waste of money!

Can you use port 587?

In Outlook 2010 you use File / Account Settings / <select account> / More Settings / Advanced / Outgoing server / change to 587.
Then do OK and click Test Account Settings.

Thanks Norman - I have 2007 sadly but I can see where to change it just in fear it may cause problems? Or is it ok to test and revert to 25 if it will not work?

Last time I played with outlook settings my host Sellereck! blocked my IP!

Port 587 is a standard setting so it should be safe to try it.

Sadly port 587 brings error failed to send to smtp

Tried 465, 587, 2525, 8025

My emails are hosted via sellerdeck if that is relevant, could they change the outgoing port?

EDIT - It seems Sellerdeck (who host my emails) only use port 25 for SMTP....oh well
