    Columns

I know how to put my products in column as I have the code from the advanced user guide. However I don't actually want it to apply to all my products pages so how would I get round this?

I think I wrote this. You can use ordinary product templates for these products and they should display one per line.

Also you can vary the number of columns from page to page by setting the Customvar NUMCOLS in the Section properties.

You could try setting this to 1 and see what happens.

However you might be better with a different product template for these full-width products.

The file you can download from HERE may be slightly easier to use than the text in the Advanced User Guide. It contains Norman's original instructions (thanks Norman!) and the code within it allows you to include standard templates in amongst your multi-column templates.

        Created the Custom VAR
        and nothing

        Thanks

In your Product Template(s) the line

          <!-- NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE Act_ProductSeparator.html -->

          needs to be uncommented e.g.

          NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE Act_ProductSeparator.html

Are you definitely using your customised Act_ProductLine.html for your entire store?

Set in in 'Design | Options | Layouts' and then check that the 'Default Layout' in the 'Product' tab of your sections is set to 'Use Parent'.

Also, have you created the 'NUMCOLS' custom property in 'Advanced | Custom Properties' and then set a value for it in 'Design | Options | Site Defaults'?

Are you definitely using your customised Act_ProductLine.html for your entire store? I hope so, I selected the Act_ProductLine.html from the 'select' option

Set in in 'Design | Options | Layouts' and then check that the 'Default Layout' in the 'Product' tab of your sections is set to 'Use Parent'. Yes all use parent

Also, have you created the 'NUMCOLS' custom property in 'Advanced | Custom Properties' and then set a value for it in 'Design | Options | Site Defaults'? Yes done this too., and only have 'custom var checked'

                So what now before suicide?

I'd start again from fresh following the attached (most recent readme that I did). Don't use any of the amendments discussed above.

It works fine here using the demo store.

Yep. That usually works about 95% of the time when folk have trouble with my patches.

                        Thanks Norman again,

I will bear that technique in mind for the future.
