Secure FTP with Sellerdeck and Bitvise

Well working except

So far so good with Bitvise but SD says it cannot get cgi-bin access. Hosting support says enable SSH but this is not a simple switch. You download pairs of keys. Do you have experience of Bitvise with SSH keys? I am really struggling and the client is having to wait while I try and sort this out!

Has anyone had this? You get all your settings correct and login and get 12.13.23.442 Enabled FTP tp SFTP bridge on 127.0.0.1:56554 - yay!
Except
The moment you do a nework test the log immediately shows this:
FTP control; connection ended with EOF. Closed FTP Control connection for FTP-SFTP bridge from 127.0.0.1:53081 on 127.0.0.1:21
and network test fails again
It is so near yet so far... Does anyone please have any ideas?

We don't have that setup, our upload site and downloading of orders works, but the SD Network Test never passes (so we ignore/don't/cannot use that function)
