    Where is the root?

Silly question to most of you but - my host was just moved to a new one, lost my favicon in the process.

I have filezilla and the favicon but cant see where it is meant to be placed - I have searched and it says in the "root", there are lots of folders but none say root?

    thank you

Ed, It's usually the /httpdocs/ folder or /public_html/, or on some hosts the /www/ folder that is the "web root" folder, i.e. the folder the web server uses as the home of the website files.

        Hi Ed,

        Your favicon is here:
        http://www.harrisontelescopes.co.uk/favicon.ico

Once this file has been replaced with your new one you sometimes need to visit the file directly (click on link above) to force your browser to update its favicon cache.
