Product Variant Catalog Numbers

Hi, is there any way to allocate a seperate product code per variant, i.e. if we have a leather cushion in brown, black and cream (chosen by a drop down box) i need to allocate a seperate product code per colour

i.e.
Leather Cushion...

brown- 105-0000
black - 106-0000
cream - 107-0000

Cant see any way to do it?

Only products can have product references - choices can't. Therefore, what you need to do is associate each choice in your store with a product in the store.

To do this, first of all you need to create three 'hidden' products (with 'Hide on Web Site' selected) which have the correct product references.

Then create a component called 'Selection' (or something) within your main 'Cushion' product (you may need to move any attributes within the product somewhere else to do this).

Once the component is created, place the attribute with the colour choices within the component.

Then go into the component, switch to the 'Permutations' tab and click 'Fill List'. Then in each choice row, select the correct hidden product within the 'Product' column.
