    CheckOut Problems - HSBC

    Hi,

    I'm hoping someone can help me out with a psp/checkout problem.

    The site is setup to use the HSBC secure e-payment as the only payment option. I have configured this with the ClientID and Hash key code.

    When checking out, having entered all address details etc a window opens saying that the user will be taken to the secure HSBC site to process payment. When the |next| button is pressed the system tries to open the following URL: http://secure.actinicsecure.com/cgi-bin/is_main.pl

    After a short delay the command times out and an error message appears to the effect that the store could not be found and to use the back button twice to return to the store.

    That is the URL of the script that will then take you to HSBC. When you just click on it above, you get the following error...
    Error:
    Unknown request. Can not be processed!

    Press 'back' button twice to return to your shop.
    What I think your error means is that the is_mail.pl script tried to pass the 'Store ID' and 'CPI Hash' to HSBC, but HSBC did not accept it.

    You may want to verify that you have definitely entered the correct details for HSBC into Actinic.

      I was expecting to see a link appear to HSBC, that's what threw me.

      I have checked the HSBC settings and they appear correct, I'll recheck my server settings.

          Hi Andy

          The problem turned out to be a fault with the hash key from HSBC.

          You must make sure that the hash key is entered EXACTLY as provided in their letter / fax or it won't work.

          In the end I had them e-mail me a new key so that I could copy and paste it in. Once refreshed the site worked perfectly.

          HSBC epayments tech support are very helpful. Speak to Matt or Dominic on 0116 281 8548. You'll need to quote your Client ID & tell them that you are using Actinic.
