Bypass upload on customers pc.

I am new to Actinic but have developed my site, built the catalog and uploaded to a webhost. All looks fine and the shop works well in test mode.

I am now ready to visit my client and install the s/w on his PC.

I Plan to export a snapshot, uninstall Actinic from my development PC, Install the s/w at the clients and import the site snapshot.

I have tried this on another PC on my local network and it all works fine except that when I go to update the site it uploads the whole site.

Is there anyway that I can do this without having the client to have to re-upload the entire site? It is there already and my client runs a dial-up connection to the internet. I would prefer him to see the update run at the speed it would do normally without doing a site refresh.

I'm afraid not. The 'Web | Refresh Website' is required so that your client's copy of Actinic knows exactly what is on the website when it comes to make future updates.
