    Problems with cgi path

Hi Guys can any suggest a way to sort this upload problem. I am moving a site to a new host

Each time I try to upload to the new site I get this message

"Unable to move to the cgi-bin directory "/home/admad1/public_html/cgi-bin/" on the FTP server.
The specified directory does not exist or you do not have access to the directory."

The directory does exsist and permissions have been ramped up to 777 and still no joy it just wont let me upload.

    Any suggestions please

    Many Thanks

    Andy

Ps just a note to this as the DNS record has not been pointed to the new server yet I am using the IP address in the paths, I'm not sure if this has any bearing on the matter.

I had similar problems setting the file paths.

Have you tried putting in the absolute path: http://123.123.123...... /etc ?

Also the permissions 777 and so on only apply to UNIX hosts so maybe check with your hosting company that you do actually have permissions to the cgi bin.

    Hope this helps

Thank you Peter. Yes I have done all that you suggest. I have access to all functions ftp and cpanel to change permsiions as and when I need to.

I suggest raising an email support request at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm and the team will be able to test your server for you and make a more informed suggestion.

Thank you Chris I have managed to solve the paths problem. A new server and setup after some hours of tweaking I finally got it.
