Items ordered cart value not updating

I have just updated my catalogue and the template i have used 'curves - from specific designs' displays items ordered and cart value on each page.
I like this option but it only seems to work on the checkout page.
I have checked the 'actinicextras.js' script etc is in the Act_Primary.html and all seems correct.
I would like this to work on all pages and any suggestions would be very appreciated.
Please be quite specific as I am an Actinic novice.

It's in your Network settings. Go to Advanced / Network Setup and look at what you've got for the various paths. Some start with

http://inspiredheating.co.uk/

and some with

http://www.inspiredheating.co.uk/

This means that as far as the cart cookie (which holds the count and value) is concerned there are 2 different servers out there. You are setting the cookie on the www one but the product pages are looking for it without the www. Make these settings match at the beginning and all should be OK.
