    Apache Server Installation

I installed Apache in the wrong directory structure. So I uninstalled it. Now the re-installation has been giving me real heartache. I have been trying to re-install apache using:

    apache_1.3.27-win32-x86-no_src.exe, and
    apache_1.3.27-win32-x86-no_src.msi

I keep getting the following messages:

    Using: apache_1.3.27-win32-x86-no_src.exe
Message: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network source that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Apache HTTP Server 1.3.27.msi'

    Using: apache_1.3.27-win32-x86-no_src.msi
Message: "Error 1316.A network error occurred while attemting to read from the file C:\myDirectory\Apache HTTP Server 1.3.27.msi'

    What can I do?
    Best Regards

    Aziz

Maybe your clicking on a shortcut rather than the actual installation file.

Right click on the files you are trying to install from and select Properties to see whether you actually have a 2 megabyte installation file or are clicking on a shortcut to a deleted file or non existing network drive.

You can use windows Find / Files or Folders command to look for the file apache_1.3.27-win32-x86-no_src.exe in case it's been misplaced.
