firstime upload ...but it won't

Hi, I am uploading my site ...or trying to...and I keep on getting 'error sending version negotiation request' ....I have checked all my settings in the advanced/network setup...(one thing I have found strange is that I do not have the 'test' button highlight(or available -if you know what I mean)). I am using version 6. Any help would be greatfully received.

Within the Network Set up page, click on the convert button and if it says "Convert to Standalone mode" then click yes and then check your settings...

That is assuming you are not hosting within an Actinic Host "specific" platform and are operating under your own domain name.

have done what you suggested and have got a bit further thank you the error message I get now is :

There was a problem with the database

Operation: Opening the [Setup3] table

Invalid cursor state

Action: Contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate

Try Housekeeping | Compact Db's and compact them all and then give it a try.
