I have had problems with the SSL settings when uploading and running my website, but when I disable them it works fine. Are payment details encrypted without SSL enabled and do I really need SSL?

If you are using an online payment processor like PayPal, Protx or any of them listed as compatible within the payment providers within Actinic, then you do NOT really need to utilise your own SSL certificate at your site end, as the OCCP will provide that encryption unless you use an ROI OCCP that is incorporated with Actinic as they require you to supply the SSL connection as opposed to how it is run here with UK OCCPs... -
