Free Shipping on individual items

Hi

I'm using V8 with standard shipping charge across all items. However, my shop owner wants to charge free shipping on a couple of products only - can this be done?

On the details tab, there is a checkbox labelled "Exclude from Shipping Band Calculation". This will make shipping of the product free to all locations including international (unless you're using value based calculations). Alternatively, you can setup the shipping by category to have a free option, this will make it possible to offer free shipping to specific countries. Click How do I? on product detail pane for info on shipping methods :-)

Thanks for the reply. I spotted that checkbox but on my products it is written in faint text and doesn't allow me to select it! Something amiss somewhere?

you're looking at a duplicate?
Top of my head, that's a possible option

You are perhaps trying to do this on a duplicate. It can only be done on an Original Product.

That's probably because you have shipping configuration Location Basis set to Simple. Try changing it By Zone and Class.
