    A shipping mix - possible?

I have a client that has specified the following shipping requirements:

    1. Free shipping when Shipping Method A is selected if the order is value is over 19.00.
    2. A shipping charge of 4.90 when Shipping Method A or Shipping Method B is chosen and the order value is under 19.00.
    3. A shipping charge of 3.90 when Shipping Method B is chosen and total order weight is under 30kg.

Are the mix of options above possible, and if so what's the best way to set it up?

Sorry to bump this but anyone have any ideas about it?

First shipping matrix I have seen that is not possible to do. There's always 3 options and to get a solution, you exploit the one or more options not used. Your solution needs to use all 3, so no scope to do anything. You needing to evaluate weight and value collectively is the problem, not gonna happen.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts Lee. If you can't figure a way round it then I doubt anyone else can.

Some people do get themselves in a mess. How in the world are they going to explain this to customers?

And it doesn't make sense anyway as there are three options that are unspecified:

          What happens if:

          1. Shipping method B. Under £19.00 and Under 30Kg?
          2. Shipping method B. Over 30Kg?
          3. Shipping method B. Over £19.00 value?

None of these have been specified. What should you charge?

What he's actually saying (according to that description) is:

          a. Shipping method A: £4.90 up to £19.00. free Over £19.00. (OK)

          b. Shipping method B: £4.90 up to £19.00. £3.90 under 30Kg. (VERY DODGY)
