    Paypal Express Script Problems?

I've been getting a call a day this week with customers saying they can't complete their order - shows a "script error" message...

These customers are all paying via Paypal Express

I have to instruct them to checkout the usual Sellerdeck way (Paypal Website Payments)

We've made no changes to our site and we are getting orders paid by Paypal Express

    Anyone else experiencing the same?

Which Sellerdeck version are you using, and who are your hosts?

We are on v16.01 & 1and1 dedicated managed server

Mon/Tue/Wed : had at least 1 call per day, with about 30 orders received as Paypal Express = 1 in 30 orders

Thu (today, & as at 14:48) : had two calls within 5 minutes of each other (about midday), so far received 10 successful orders paid by Paypal Express before midday, and 8 after midday.

I don't think Paypal are implementing their new security requirements in 2016.

But changes should be happening from January 17th 2017, see this reply I had from them:

The reason you got the mail is due to a change we're making related to Payments Standard, essentially we have noted that there are variables being sent from your integration to PayPal which will no longer be supported.

I suspect you are correct in your description that the country code is most likely the cause, UK will not be supported from Jan 17th, you will need to change this to GB going forward, although I expect that this may be a required change on the cart provider side. Just for your own information, I've gone through the checkout a few times to test and based on what I can see with the items I purchased the integration is working normally and as expected.

I can't then see a reason why you should be having problems. Maybe go through configuring the whole PayPal Express set up again, double checking all the Merchant Login, Password and Signature plus the other settings?

We use PayPal Express and have no issues on v 16.0.2 on a 1&1 dedicated server.

          Thank you for the feedback.

So far it's about 1 in 30 orders are failing, and currently today it's about 1 in 15 orders

If the settings were wrong we should not have any orders paid by Paypal Express...

Let's hope it's only us and an intermittent issue

But please post if you are having the same, then we know as a community.
