Adding product thumbnails on homepage

We are using Business V8 8.5.3 IDHB the ‘smart’ theme on my brother site www.oakis.co.uk, and I now want to add some link product group thumbnails to homepage. I tried looking through the help manual but cannot find how this can be achieved, so hopeful someone here can help me?

Once a product is a member of a product group for discount purposes, it is not available to be used in other offers. I have come across this restriction before but it is annoying my clients more and more! The latest example is that we have a 3 for the price of 2 offer on all replacement UV light bulbs...
