    Hi Donald,

I've just created 10 snapshots from the full one that you sent me and all worked fine. I've put it through to our development team to see if anyone else can recreate it but I wonder if there is something running in the background on your pc that may be affecting it - something that all of you having this problem might have in common. Maybe you could post these programs which might help narrow down the problem, or email me if you don't want to post them.

I had this problem again last night with 902 (on XP). I had two successive snapshots created without images included. Compacting then reopening Actinic seemed to fix it but I can't be conclusive that it was that that fixed the problem. I've had this happen quite a number of times now.

I can't be sure at the moment but I will now take a closer note in future...especially when there is a failure!

        From memory:
The usual Vista (Ultimate 32bit) background stuff

Often running with Actinic but not always:
        Outlook 7
        Excel & Word 7
        Photoshop CS3
        Acrobat Pro
Internet explorer 7 with 6 tabs open
mp3 music via Media Player 10

        Always running:
Kaspersky Internet Security 7 with all updates
        Spybot - Search & Destroy
        www.yandles.co.uk
        www.websilk.co.uk
Today is the tomorrow that I worried about yesterday.
So far, all is well. Am I still worried? YES! Watch some b.....d mess it up!

As an aside Donald there are known issues with Spybot & Outlook ... if you ever have any issues with Outlook take a look at Spybot (I had to remove from all machines)

Never had any issues with Outlook (other than spam)
Spybot has always been very well behaved for me...

It seems the Outlook issue os related to Spybot immunization after a particular MS fix.

                  It is still happening:

                  all made via File|export|snapshot...

Excel 7 was running for (a)
I closed Excel & tried again but Windows Explorer was running so that I could see the file size and tried again. the result was (b)
Still with Windows Explorer running, I tried yet again and got (c)

It just occoured to me that I had not compacted the database in a very long while - I just did that and the next snapshot saved correctly at 18,514 Kb...

I wonder if it is an 'uncompacted database' issue?

Ihave a feeling it is related to compacting the database. In my case that does seem to correct the problem. My pc setup etc is quite different to yours.

                        Update:
I don't think it is an uncompacted issue afterall...

I have just had to attempt a snapshot 3 times before getting a 'safe' one.
                        Other stuff running:
                        Excel
Internet Explorer with 6 tabs open (my default setting)
                        Windows Explorer.

Without computers, we would have more time for the pub! Or even talk to our wives/husbands
