Shared server on a block list stopping outgoing email

Sometimes a shared server can be blocked by email block lists because a website on that server is sending out spam. This is part of the nature of shared hosting platforms. The way to minimise the risk of this happening is to change the SMTP settings in network settings:

Use a named smtp server in Actinic's network settings instead of localhost.

In web, network settings, instead of localhost under SMTP server put, for example, mail.graphicz.eu.com (where mail.graphicz.eu.com is the name of your outgoing server)

    Tick, username and password required,
    Put, for example:

    ie: SMTP server: mail.graphicz.eu.com
    user: website@graphicz.eu.com
    pass: haveanicedayorwhatever

These would obviously be your own settings!

The username email should be the email entered in business settings.

    Hope this helps someone.
