Hi, sorry to say but i am in the same situ.
Have moved from clara net after henious service to 4sure which is now down again and no info as to whats going on.
I live in Bristol and note that one of there address's is a bristol address. I feel like going down there to see what s going on.

I am trying out another host compnay called pipeten.com
On this i am running OSCommerace Unix based, not had any problems yet fingers crossed.

I've moved from Easyspace for the same reasons. I'm with Fasthosts now, which is so far ok. The best thing about them is that they don't try and hide when things go wrong and have a good support line. However, I've noticed a few negative comments on this forum regarding fasthosts, so...

Actinic Serviced hosting

There are several good hosting companies for Actinic, however I would firmly recommend any company who primarily deal with Actinic websites.
You will find the level of customer support and the speed of problem solving and resolution regarding actinic issues to be much faster.

I think "general" hosting companies simply don't have too many clues when it comes to Actinic - an Actinic partner hosting company is the way to go as fergusw mentioned.

Teclan, Pinbrook, Web Your Business and others are all LONG TIME Actinic partners - at least we UNDERSTAND the products as well as hosting!

Take a look at the hosting company that I am using. It is stateside, but I haven't had any trouble with them at all. They had a major server problem about 2 weeks ago, and had the box replaced and up and running in 48hrs. They constantly update you through email with server status and you can also check server status at whbstat.com.

The company is Web Hosting Buzz. http://www.webhostingbuzz.com for $36 US a year, they are great as far as I can see. I have been with them a little over a year and am now hosting three Actinic sites with them.

Looked at CLOOK but the fact they operate from a PO BOX and theres no direct phone number for a sales line is disturbing, if you do call them you get an automated answer... oh no, not again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prefer a UK host.
