I'm a part-timer, so Actinic doesn't rule my life, but the shop certainly is beginning to. There's always something to do and I don't seem to have much spare time anymore.
I wake up at 7:00am to get the kids to school by 8:30
8.00am - awake (after hitting snooze on the alarm for an hour)
8.50am - school run
9.30am - arrive work (the mortgage paying shift)
6.30pm - home
8.00pm - start Actinic design work
3.00am - bed
18 hours of that is spend on the forum
partypete's day should take some beating - I am convinced he is a robot
Up at 05h30, bed at 22h30 because I can't concentrate further - the days are never long enough. Satisfying the forum addiction seems to take up about 25 hours a day sometimes.
Im pretty nocturnal, woke up at 10am yesterday and the missus told me last night that it was going to snow, so i stayed up to see it - i love the snow. It arrived at 6.15 this morning and i've been looking out of the window smiling since.
At 3 or 4am many mornings i log into the forum to see if there is anything interesting, of the 150 times i have probably done this, i am yet to see anyone else. Norman seems a bit of a night howler and an early bird and Duncan is usually around about.
Live your life on PC's and it's one boring lonely life at times. Found a great gaming site last night about 3am, got hooked on a game and was still playing when the missus awoke at 7am.
I trawled through 7 brochures creating a product list for an actinic site during the day yesterday, i still have 9 more to go - that has to be the worst job ever ever ever ever ever. Mind numbing, i'm currently trawling any forum i know to avoid having to do anymore for a while - heart breaking soul destroying, dead boring. Ecommerce sucks.
26 hours gone, 7 brochures done, 4 hours on silversphere and its snowing - what a mixed bag. Birds Eye couldn't waffle like i do - tara.
*just noticed my 800th post, how ironic - is there any actinic sites that can sell me a life? i need to hate PC's and become a postman, then i can enjoy the snow, forget brochures and toddle off home about 2pm having done an honest days work* tara again
Alarm goes off at 6am - generally up pretty soon after unless been very late night before. Up, kettle on, dogs out in garden, make coffee & grab bananna and bring into office for 6.30 - here then until around 5. Often check in a couple of times during evening - last one being just before going to bed - MUST stop this last visit tends to mean go to bed thinking about work - downside of having office at home! Upside of having office at home means can take time out yesterday to go and find new car which other half has just gone off to collect
Nothing wrong with MX5 - it's great - but when bought that it did mean we had 4 cars between 2 of us which is a little excessive - Steve's got the Caterham and an Omega Estate - I had MX and an Alfa Romeo which I'd kept till I was sure I'd use the MX. So we're selling the Omega to a friend, part-ex'd the Alfa and bought a Jag Xtype 2.5 v6 sport. Best of all it's going to be a company car
Keep telling Steve he should start up some sort of business to do with cars - just can't think of what! I'm making up for lost time with cars - only learnt to drive 6 years ago and that was because I had to not because I wanted to and have had no real interest in cars until about year ago!
Oh - didn't know you had a caterham or is the engine for something else? (she who knows little about these sort of things - as long as colours nice it's generally OK with me!!)
