Well, I've added the sub-forums. I'm not 100% convinced they are a good idea, but I'm happy to wait and see.

I am 100% behind you Chris .. it is not going to work ... it should but this is not a perfect world and it is simpler for people to post into the main forum... as they are continuing to do.

I agree too, the way they are currently being displayed, will render them pretty useless in their current state. I haven't said anything to date as i have been giving him some time as requested, however the current layout is worse than what we had. This is not the way child forums are usually displayed.

Don't overthink it though Jonty, we are aiming to do the same as we did with the connections forum, i've never heard you say that was not working?

On the whole, they are badly laid out, badly named and in the wrong areas of the business. Also they cannot be accessed from the main page. All in all a miracle if they have received any posts.

But, i've had it with the misdirected efforts and badly thought out stuff, i've promised myself to just soldier through the crap - far too much red tape going on. A mod should decide what happens on a forum, not a chuffing board room, most of whom never come on here - it's laughable at times.

I dont like the way the 4 sub forums under v8 are listed and then the threads for the whole v8 forum are straight after. if it was me, I would have another sub-forum "misc" or whatever and move all the threads into that and then disallow threads in the v8 main folder - it will make people more likely to select a specific forum.

maybe even just have stickys from the mods in the main one so they don't encroach on the normal threads.

The previous were set up as new boards from the main top level ... these sit at the top like some orphaned "Google Adwords" type affair and will most likely get over looked.
