NO - I removed it because it turned into a debate - exactly as this one has. What is the point of starting a thread about a very specific subject and it going off track on the first posts.Not quite. Malcolm got upset that you posted something that didn't fit what he wanted, "I didn't ask for a debate" was part of his reply. I then posted that this was the thing with with forums. Different people have different thoughts, agendas and ideas, and that the forum is there for the community, not just one person. As we've seen in the past when he doesn't like things, his attitude appears to be "Sod them then, I'll delete the thread".
The idea was that people that wanted to give a discount could simply post and so the thread would build into a valuable resource for the community. If you didnt agree with the idea then dont post an offer OR start another thread about the possible affiliate problem.
And for your information I have only ever deleted ONE thread which was then reinstated (Google Checkout) - all thread originators have the right to delete threads and its a pity more dont use it as the forum is full of idle chit chat on non AOB threads again.Comment
