why don't you/we simply suggest a hotel that people can just book into, once reservations are made, plans for the evening and following day can follow.

Maybe someone more local knows of somewhere good/suitable?

Not too far from Stratford which would probably be a better place to stay.

seeing as it's down your neck of the woods, Lee (comparatively speaking anyway!)...do you have some suggestions?

I would not suggest a hotel as i have no idea on that score, but i think Stratford would be a better place to stay than Warwick. Warwick has a castle and a racecourse, not a lot else.

Stratford has a racecourse, a big river and park, lots of shops, eating places, home of Shakespeare, a theatre etc. Plus there is a big fountain and if you throw a couple of tubes of bubble bath in, it fills half the street with bubbles. It also has little quirky things like locks and restaurants on barges etc. You can hire little speed boats that are restricted to 4mph and then when out of sight derestrict them so they do about 10mph and wash all the ducks up onto the banks and the fishermen show you what a hula hoop looks like. There is also a small weir which has had my arse twitching before as we raced towards it at 10mph, sorry 4mph. Stratford is happening on weekends and it'd be a great Christmas shop for the sheilas who stay for a day or two. There is a stall that sells hot donuts and in the car park there is always an area where i can create-a-space, i'm the only person that ever does it, i turn up at peak bank holiday times and just park, get out and snigger, it's just so funny. Baaaa baaaaa baaaa.

Having visited both, if castles are your thing then go Warwick, if not go Stratford, it's just a better proposition all round. If you stay in Stratford, even the castle lovers are only 15 mins away from Warwick anyway.

Not to forget the Chinese Buffet at the Ripple Cafe - all you can eat.

Even better is we live only 5 minutes down the road in Chipping Campden.
                            Thanks
