I'm a decaff coffee man. It was 25 years or so ago that I switched to decaff. Amazing effect removing the caffeine from the diet did. For a month or two I used to fall asleep at the keyboard at about 3 every afternoon.

Lets see if Gabe goes offline in an hour or two due to the same effect - although todays tea should keep him going for a bit.

Nowadays if I need to stay up very late then a cup or two of normal coffee will do the trick. As I'm it Turkey at the moment, an evening of Turkish coffee should keep me awake for half the week!

well, it looks like the trend is edging towards 'I used to drink evil coffee but now, I drink safe tea'.

I'm trying to move away from artificial stimulants entirely. I find that in the morning, Ice cold water wakes me better than strong coffee

I'm with Chris on this one (maybe only about 3 cups though!) but without the tea - can't stand the stuff. Hubby drinks some bizarre chrysanthemum (prob spelt badly ) tea which results in this huge purple flower floating around in the cup!

                          coffee vs tea?

depends where I am and how it's being made!

From a machine? coffee...machine tea sucks! Usually decaff..caffeine has an 'effect' on me! (shush, Darren )

Otherwise, I prefer tea...my choice is PG Tips Pyramids...mmmmmmm... only killed by being too milky...I loathe milky tea! (sometimes my tea/coffee choice is dictated by who's making it. If it's a milk lover, I'd choose coffee as I can just about tolerate over-milky coffee)

All that said, I don't drink either much. I'm too lazy to make it for just me (hubby doesn't drink either of them and I'm alone at the office anyway) so I tend to drink just water mostly!

sheesh...what a load of complete drivel!

tea- so strong you can slice it, with an (un) healthy dose of sugar. Coffee? No thanks, not since my mum caught me nicking hers when I was 8, and the resulting belt to the head put me off for life...
Occasional fresh mint tea (the advantage of working from home) plus about 30 varieties of fruit and herb tea my wife drinks to choose from, though I'd have to be pushed hard to drink these!
