When you have multiple tabs open and some pages are running JS or Flash it falls over. If you leave it long enough it recovers but i really cant be bothered sitting there waiting for it to wake up.

Chrome is ideal for a simple browser, no bells and whistles

it crashes on me too quite regularly. Actually, there's one site I visit that runs a java chat and EVERY time I visit it for the first time in a browsing session, it crashes.
Something about FF3 definitely doesn't like java. Mind you, I've had the update icon flashing at me for a while now and haven't bitten the bullet yet! Maybe the java update would fix that (trouble is, it usually breaks other stuff!)
I still use FF though. It doesn't crash SO often that I've abandoned it.
I find Chrome a bit annoying the way it seems to reload the full page each time and not just the changed parts of it (when browsing an Actinic site or the forum, for example)
Could just be my settings, I suppose
