But, we live at 1000' and it hasn't stopped snowing all day. Problem we have is drifting - any wind and the track to our gaff becomes impassable. So it looks like by tomorrow we'll be snowed in.
Missus and 5 year old think that's marvellous.
I however will struggle to concentrate working from home with them in the house. Would rather be at work.
And then there's the snow-fade on the satellite broadband at home
So, it won't be a very productive week, but at least I'll get to see a lot more of the girls than is usual

The big problem has been that none of the keyholders were able to get in until a couple of hours late. So those staff that did manage the journey couldn't get into the office and then went home.

Come on, I remember using that excuse at school - "aye miss I was there from 10 to 9 til half past and you never turned up so I went home". Must be a coincidence that it still works in the workplace

The joke was that I was meeting Zoltan, among others, in the office, and he's one of the few that made it in. And he came from Hungary, albeit via Cambridge where he was staying with his sister.

The difference seems to be that when he was told there were no trains running, he didn't believe them and waited until one turned up.

LOL Chris, I have visions of him on the tracks in one of those manual vehicles where one person each side pumps up and down a handle to move along the track.

I never quite understand why trains get stopped, my nipper's sledge just cut through 6 inches of snow, so why the hell can't a big lump of heavy metal on rails.
