I have visions of him on the tracks in one of those manual vehicles where one person each side pumps up and down a handle to move along the track.
Funny you say that i have found a picture of Zoltan on his way to work.

      More snow

Looks like tomorrow might be a whitewash again

From BBC: Parts of London could see a foot (30cm) of snow by Monday evening, while the Pennines and other parts of the north could see as much as 20 inches (50cm).

Still us up north won't make such a fuss as the southern jesses

Is it my imagination or does snow get a lot more coverage in the news media when London is affected.

I bet if Scotland was covered by 6 feet of snow it would get 30 seconds coverage.

Given that anything North of Watford is classed as the 'North of England', it's hardly surprising.

Its because they're more important down there, or at least they think they are.
They want to be up here exposed on the north yorkshire coast, it's blizzard like, even the waves are going sideways.

                    No it isn't!
At least not in my part of Cumbria which is at sea level unlike Shap which is a tad higher. No schools closed & no roads blocked.
Granted it has just started snowing & settling on cars but when it hits the deck it's melting.

Barrows not in Cumbria really - they are only just building a road into it

We regard ourselves as Lancastrians to be honest and would give our collective right arm to be returned to our true County. As it is we are lumbered with the abysmal Cumbria County Council which spreads salt throughout Barrow when it gets a bit cold in the rest of Cumbria which is then washed away as our maritime climate turns Cumbrian snow to rain.

Complete waste of money but there you go.
Is the M6 at Shap still 'passable with care' or have the Polish lorry drivers blocked it with jack knifed wagons?
