Its tough for people up here on the roads today. Apparently our council took £400K off this years roads gritting budget and it was all used up by the beginning of this week.

Still they're giving a local venue (the AECC, which runs at a loss) a £2M loan (?) this year to keep it going.

Remember all the Government bail-outs to car manufacturers, such as Jaguar? Please remind me of a Jaguar which has been produced in the last twenty years that isn't a 'gas guzzler'. The boss has one, 18mpg.

So, they tax those who own gas guzzlers - making you less inclined to want one. You don't buy one, so Jaguar can't sell one. Then the Government bail them out. WTF?
